# Connect Google Business Profile

Google reviews arrive only after you connect a Business Profile location and map it to a business you already created. See [Create your first business](https://www.syncmyreviews.com/docs/create-your-first-business) if you have not done that yet.

## Connect

1. Open **Connections**, then **Google**.
2. Sign in on Google's own screen and approve access. SyncMyReviews stores a token so it can keep reading reviews. It does not see your Google login.
3. Pick the Business Profile location that matches this business.
4. Save the mapping.

The first import copies the reviews already on that location: star rating, text, reviewer name, reply, and the time the review was left. That first import does not send a separate email for every old review.

## What happens after that

* A daily sync and a Google notification both pull new reviews and edits.
* New reviews, and edits to an existing review's text or rating, can email you. Turn that on or off under **Settings**, in **New reviews**. Choose **Primary** for your sign-in email, **Communication** for the account communication email, or both.
* You can reply from the **Reviews** page. The reply is posted back to Google.

## Disconnect

Open the Google connection and disconnect when you want to stop syncing that location. Reviews already imported stay in SyncMyReviews until you remove them.

If a business has no Google location assigned, Connections shows a mapping warning until you pick one.
