Delete your account

Last updated Oct 5, 2026 by SyncMyReviews

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. The request starts a 14-day grace period: nothing is removed straight away, your account keeps working as normal, and you can cancel the whole thing before the period ends.

Where to request it

  1. Open Settings → Profile.
  2. Scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom of the page.
  3. Read the summary of what will be removed and what cannot be removed.
  4. In the confirmation box, type I AGREE to enable the delete button. The text is not case-sensitive.
  5. Choose Schedule account deletion and confirm in the pop-up.

Once scheduled, you will see the deletion date on screen and a banner at the top of the dashboard reminding you it is coming up.

The 14-day grace period

Nothing is deleted immediately. For 14 days your account stays fully usable, and the banner shows the earliest date the deletion will run. On or after that date the account is removed permanently.

How to cancel

Changed your mind? You can stop the deletion any time before the date passes:

  • Select Keep my account on the banner, or
  • Go back to Settings → Profile → Danger zone and choose Cancel deletion.

Your account carries on exactly as before.

Account owners vs. team members

What happens depends on your role on the account.

  • Account owner — deleting your account removes the whole account, including every team member's login, your reviews and sync history, and your widgets, QR codes and badges. This cannot be undone once the grace period ends.
  • Team member — deleting your account removes only your own login and access to the account. The account itself and all of its shared data stay in place, and anything you set up is handed over to the account owner. Use Schedule deletion of my login in the Danger zone.

If an account has more than one owner, deletion can't be scheduled from this screen — please contact support and we'll help.

What cannot be removed

Some things live outside SyncMyReviews and are not affected by deleting your account:

  • Posts and replies you already published on Google, Facebook and Instagram stay on those platforms.
  • Printed QR codes will stop working once the account is gone.
