How it works

One connection, both directions.

SyncMyReviews pushes high-signal events out to Zapier over official REST-hook webhooks — no polling — and Zapier can reach back in to create, hide and schedule. Build it once in Zapier's visual editor.

Something happens

A review lands, a QR code is scanned, private pipeline feedback arrives, or a scheduled post publishes or fails.

Zapier catches it instantly

An official signed webhook fires the moment the event occurs. Add Zapier filters to act on only certain ratings, sources or outcomes.

Your apps act — or write back

Run steps across 8,000+ apps, or use a SyncMyReviews action to log a review, hide one, or schedule a Google or Facebook post.

Triggers · SyncMyReviews → 8,000+ apps

Seven real-time triggers to start any Zap.

Every trigger targets one business and fires the instant the event happens. Pair any of these with an action in any Zapier-supported app.

new_review

New Review

Fires when any new Google, Facebook or manual review is recorded for the business — across every connected source.

Each event sends
RatingReview textAuthor name & photoSourcePosted dateReview URLHidden state
new_low_rating_review

New Low-Rating Review

Fires only when a review comes in at 3★ or lower — a Facebook “not recommended” maps into this band — so you can respond before it festers.

Each event sends
RatingReview textAuthorSourcePosted dateReview URL
new_five_star_review

New Five-Star Review

Fires only on a top 5★ rating — the classic “if five stars, celebrate it and turn it into social proof” pattern.

Each event sends
RatingReview textAuthorSourcePosted dateReview URL
new_negative_pipeline_feedback

New Negative Pipeline Feedback

Fires when a review-funnel visitor submits a low rating that routes into your private feedback branch — so you can act before they go public.

Each event sends
RatingFeedback textAuthorPipeline titleSubmitted date
review_modified_upstream

Updated Review

Fires when a previously synced Google or Facebook review changes its rating or text at the source — carrying both the old and new values.

Each event sends
SourceOld ratingNew ratingOld textNew textModified date
qr_code_scanned

New QR Scan

Fires each time one of your trust-card QR codes is scanned. Visitor IPs are truncated to a /24 (IPv4) or /48 (IPv6) prefix before they ever leave the platform.

Each event sends
QR code labelScanned dateRedirected URLTruncated IPUser agent
scheduled_post_outcome

New Post Outcome

Fires when a scheduled Google or Facebook post is processed. The payload carries the platform and outcome, so you can branch “Google published” vs “Facebook failed” in one Zap.

Each event sends
PlatformOutcomeTitle & bodyImage URLScheduled timeFailure reason
Actions · 8,000+ apps → SyncMyReviews

Four actions that write straight back in.

Let any Zap reach into SyncMyReviews. Every action targets one business and re-checks its subscription before it runs.

create_manual_review

Create Manual Review

Records an external survey or NPS result — from Typeform, SurveyMonkey, Delighted and more — as an in-app review alongside Google and Facebook reviews. It does not post a review to Google or Facebook.

You provide
BusinessReviewer nameReviewer email (optional)Rating 1–5Review text
set_review_visibility

Set Review Visibility

Hides or shows any review across public widgets, badges and the trust card — for example auto-hiding spam or profanity flagged in another tool. It does not delete or change the review on Google or Facebook.

You provide
Review IDSource (Google / Facebook / Manual)Hidden true or false
schedule_google_post

Schedule Google Post

Queues a Google Business Profile post from anywhere — a content calendar, an approved copy sheet, or on the back of a five-star review. Requires a connected Google location.

You provide
BusinessTitle (optional)BodyImage URL (optional)Scheduled time
schedule_facebook_post

Schedule Facebook Post

Queues a Facebook Page post from any Zap. Requires a connected Facebook Page.

Searches · find-or-create

Two searches to line up your data.

Zapier’s find-or-create steps translate a friendly name from another tool into the exact record an action needs.

find_business

Find Business

Look up a SyncMyReviews business by name (case-insensitive) or exact slug to get the business ID every action needs — ideal for multi-location accounts.

find_review

Find Review

Look up a review by its source and external ID, returning zero or one match — so a Zap can decide whether to update visibility or create something new.

Zap ideas

Every kind of Zap you can build.

Mix any trigger with any of the 8,000+ apps Zapier supports. Here are popular workflows across the tools teams already run — a starting point, not a limit.

Team alerts & chat

  • A new low-rating review lands → post an urgent alert to your #reviews Slack channel.
  • A new five-star review lands → celebrate it in a Microsoft Teams channel.
  • Negative pipeline feedback arrives → DM the owner on Slack before it ever goes public.
  • A QR code is scanned → ping a Discord or Telegram channel in real time.

Spreadsheets & databases

  • Any new review lands → append a row to a Google Sheet for reporting.
  • Any new review lands → create an Airtable or Notion record you can tag and filter.
  • A scheduled post publishes or fails → log the outcome to a Notion database.
  • A QR code is scanned → track scans over time in Google Sheets or Excel.

CRM & sales

  • A new five-star review lands → log a testimonial note on the contact in HubSpot.
  • A new low-rating review lands → open a follow-up task for the account owner in Salesforce.
  • Any new review lands → enrich the matching contact in Pipedrive or Zoho CRM.
  • A review changes upstream → flag the deal so sales knows a public testimonial shifted.

Email & SMS

  • A new five-star review lands → email the team a “rave of the day” via Gmail or Outlook.
  • A new low-rating review lands → text the manager instantly with Twilio SMS.
  • A new review mentions a keyword → kick off a Mailchimp thank-you sequence.
  • A QR code is scanned near closing → trigger a same-day follow-up email.

Tickets & tasks

  • A new low-rating review lands → open a Zendesk or Freshdesk ticket to draft a reply.
  • Negative pipeline feedback arrives → create a Jira issue for the service team.
  • A new review needs a response → add a Trello card, Asana task or ClickUp to-do.
  • A scheduled post fails → raise a ticket so nothing slips through.

Write back into SyncMyReviews

  • A Typeform or NPS survey is submitted → Create a Manual Review inside SyncMyReviews.
  • Another tool flags spam or profanity → Set Review Visibility to hidden automatically.
  • A Google Calendar content slot begins → Schedule a Google Business Profile post.
  • Approved social copy is marked ready in a sheet → Schedule a Facebook Page post.

Marketing & social proof

  • A new five-star review lands → send it to a webhook that refreshes your testimonials wall.
  • Any new review lands → queue a draft post in Buffer or Hootsuite for approval.
  • A review is modified upstream → alert marketing that a published testimonial changed.
  • A five-star review lands → auto-generate a branded quote graphic in Canva.

These are examples — any SyncMyReviews trigger can drive any Zapier action, and any app can call our actions and searches back.

Trust & security

Built to be safe by default.

The integration is included with any active subscription — no separate paywall — and hardened end to end.

  • Owner-scoped tokens

Only account owners can mint a token. It is scoped to your account, stored only as a hash, shown once, and revocable in two clicks.

  • Signed webhooks

Every outbound webhook is HMAC-signed with a dual-key rotation scheme so the receiving app can verify it genuinely came from SyncMyReviews.

  • Per-business subscription gate

Each trigger and action re-checks the target business’s subscription at delivery time. Actions are rate-limited per token so a runaway Zap can’t overwhelm anything.

  • Privacy-first payloads

Visitor IPs are truncated, pipeline submitter emails are never sent, post-failure reasons use a safe enum, and payloads are capped at 256 KB.

Yes. Use Zapier's built-in filters to run steps only for certain ratings, sources, businesses or outcomes — for example, only alert Slack on reviews of 3 stars or lower, only log five-star reviews to a testimonials sheet, or branch a scheduled-post Zap on Google-published vs Facebook-failed.

No. You connect SyncMyReviews in Zapier by pasting an API token, then build your workflow with Zapier's visual editor. There's nothing to deploy and no scripts to maintain.

Account owners generate a token from the SyncMyReviews dashboard under Connections → Zapier. Paste it into Zapier when you add the SyncMyReviews connection. Tokens are scoped to your account and can be revoked or rotated at any time.

Yes. One token covers every business your account controls, and each Zap targets a single business through a dropdown — so a multi-location account routes each location's signal independently through one connection.

Yes. Every outbound webhook is HMAC-signed by SyncMyReviews, access uses owner-scoped tokens stored only as a hash, and each trigger and action re-checks the target business's subscription at delivery time. Visitor IPs are truncated and pipeline submitter emails are never sent. Revoke a token and its Zaps stop receiving data.

No. It's included with any active SyncMyReviews subscription — no separate paywall and no per-user partner fee. Zapier's own plan limits apply on their side.

Connect your reviews to everything else.

Design a Zap once and every review, QR scan and scheduled-post result flows into Slack, Sheets, your CRM, or wherever your team works — while Zapier logs surveys, hides spam and schedules posts back inside SyncMyReviews. Automatically, in real time.
